In 2016, I attended the Set Free Summit hosted by Josh McDowell Ministries and Covenant Eyes. There, I learned the devastating impact that pornography has on men, women, marriages, families, churches, and pastors. Speaker after speaker, hard truths were confirmed that pornography destroys intimacy and prevents sanctification.

The founder of Covenant Eyes shared how, more than just filtering, accountability is key to real freedom. The vision: train people in disciplined, God-honoring use of the internet. For nine years, I’ve implemented Covenant Eyes with brothers in Christ who have experienced freedom from this stronghold. Together, we help one another live out 2 Timothy 2:21–22: flee youthful passions, pursue righteousness, faith, love, and peace.

As a church, we will walk in new life, empowered by Christ to defeat the flesh and be ready for His return. Young families, I plead with you to establish wise habits for device and internet use from the earliest ages, so we can raise a generation that never knows this stronghold. It’s possible in Christ, but it requires vigilance.
